New Century Energies Installs Software by Chesapeake System Solutions
New Century Energies, a Colorado-based utility company, recently installed two of Chesapeake System Solutions' most popular cash management software products, according to Chesapeake President Peter Vogelberger. New Century's Corporate Accounting Department is already recording positive results from Chesapeake's Total Reconciliation Solution (T-Recs) and Unclaimed Property Compliance System (UPCS) packages.
Dionne Houchen, General Ledger Accountant at New Century Energies, noted that "We recently merged with another company and have benefited from T-Recs easy reconciliation of the merged accounts. We can now handle exception research more quickly and efficiently."
Operating in six states, New Century Energies filed more than 1,000 unclaimed property items last year. "Says Houchen, "With Chesapeake's UPCS software, we can accurately comply with the unclaimed property reporting in all 50 states and can stay abreast of current regulation and updates."
