Miller Group Implements Chesapeake IDM (Internet Data Manager)
Software supports daily deposit verification
OWINGS MILLS, MD, March 09, 2007 – Chesapeake System Solutions, Inc®, a leading provider of reconciliation, treasury workstation, account analysis and unclaimed property compliance software, announced today that the Miller Group, an organization that operates 17 Arby’s restaurants in central Illinois, has implemented its Chesapeake IDM™ software to streamline their financial data collection.
IDM automates the retrieval of financial data, reducing the expense and effort associated with data acquisition, and minimizing the possibility of fraud. The software efficiently collects and processes data across an organization’s banking relationships, regardless of the number of institutions or accounts involved. Implementing IDM requires no special authorization nor does it trigger additional fees from financial institutions
The Miller Group had been validating deposits on a weekly basis, using deposit slips sent from each of its 17 stores. To provide more management control, the company sought automation that would streamline the process and allow them to move to daily validation without the need to add additional staff. They selected Chesapeake IDM based on positive comments about the company and its solutions from Arby’s corporate headquarters, which relies on several Chesapeake products to manage its treasury operations. “Since Arby’s headquarters was using IDM to collect their banking transaction data, we felt very comfortable that it was a good fit for us,” said Scott Nafziger, Miller Group’s financial controller.
Implementing IDM has provided a number of benefits to the Miller Group. In addition to allowing actual bank data to be verified against point of sale information on a daily basis, the software provides the corporate office with more timely information. “Our corporate office now has a real-time view of deposits matched to sales, and to cash over/under. This not only helps us better manage the business, but can also provide a proactive deterrent to theft,” Nafziger said.
“We’re very pleased that our relationship with the Arby’s organization has expanded to include the Miller Group,” said. Peter Vogelberger, president of Chesapeake “When customers recommend us to affiliates or other organizations, it validates our continued commitment to delivering high quality, scalable products backed by superior service.”
